ABSTRACT
This chapter1 is divided into three main parts, all relating, in some way, to a claim I made at a conference in 1995 (see Chapter 3): that there was really no such area of study as the philosophy of sport. Or, more exactly, that one could not be a student of the philosophy of sport only.
