This article was published in Entrepreneurship and Regional Development (Miner 1997b) with the objective of bringing the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership research to the attention of a European audience. More extensive reports on this research had been published in book form in the United States—The 4 Routes to Entrepreneurial Success (Miner 1996b) for a trade audience and A Psychological Typology of Successful Entrepreneurs (Miner 1997a) for those with a more scholarly inclination.
