ABSTRACT
Soong Ai-ling (Song Ailing) (1890-1973), Soong Qing-ling (Song Qingling) (1893-1981), and Soong Mei-ling (Song Meiling) (1897-) were the daughters of Charles Jones Soong and Ni Guizeng. Sources vary on the history of Charles Soong, whose original Chinese name was Han Jiaoshun. In any case, he went to the United States and there obtained an education as well as converting to Christianity and anglicizing his name.
