ABSTRACT

Xing Xianying (190-269 a .d .) was bom during the Eastern (Later) Han dynasty and died at the beginning of the Western Jin dynasty, during the turmoil of the Three Kingdoms period. Her original hometown was in Longxi prefecture (now Lingtao county, Gansu province), and she later settled in Yangqu in Yingchuan prefecture (now Yuxian county in Henan province). Her father, Xing Pi, held a high-ranking position as an imperial adviser and third-grade ministerial official. In addition to Xing Xianying, Xing Pi also had a son, Xing Zhang.
