ABSTRACT
Huang E (1498-1569 a .d .) was a famous writer during the Ming dynasty. Bom in Suining, Sichuan, she was also known as Xiumei, but most people called her Madam Huang. She was the second wife of Yang Shen, who was also a writer. Although her life was full of frustration, grief and indignation, she made great achievements in literature by writing many outstanding works.
