ABSTRACT

The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is one of the largest universities in the world, with a community of 329,740 people.1 It owns University City (CU: Ciudad Universitaria), probably one of the most extended university campuses and one of the largest single tracts of urban property in the world, at 733 hectares.2 It is located in the metropolitan area of Mexico City, which has a population of 18,591,527 inhabitants3 over an area of 146,034 hectares.4
