ABSTRACT

Robert B. Carson is professor emeritus with the Division of Economics and Business at the State University of New York College at Oneonta. He pioneered the unique approach of teaching economics by addressing economic issues from the Conservative, Liberal, and Radical positions with the first edition of Economic Issues Today in 1978. He has authored twelve books on economics, including What Economists Know (1990), which has been reprinted abroad in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic editions. Dr. Carson is an expert on the public regulation of American railroads.
