ABSTRACT
One can reasonably refer to the Foyle Catchment, watershed, region, valley, basin, ecosystem or bio-region. Berg (1977) defined ‘bio-region’ as a geographical region of ecological and sometimes cultural unity that is often, and in the case of this chapter, delimited by a watershed or catchment.
