ABSTRACT

Introduction E-government has been one of the most compelling and fast-growing areas in public administration in the last two decades. New information and communication technologies (ICTs), such as Internet and mobile communication technologies, have been widely introduced to improve the quality of internal administrative operations as well as public service delivery. With the continued advancement of ICTs and the evolution of e-government, many scholars have attempted to dene the locus and focus of e-government studies in the discipline of public administration. In fact, increasing number of e-government studies began to appear in both general public administration journals and specialist journals after the Internet was developed and applied in the public sector.
