ABSTRACT

The special issue is divided in two main sections. The two overarching articles in the first section approach security governance from a broader perspective and offer a general view on conceptual and normative issues. The second section features empirical case studies looking at different manifestations of security governance in different regional organizations and within specific fields of EU security policy. The three EU case studies deal with the fields of EU internal and external security policy as well as the more recent area of critical infrastructure protection, which cuts across various fields.
