History professor Christopher Haas, 60, had achieved much in his academic life: full tenure at prestigious Villanova University, many publications, and strong ratings from students that had taken his courses. Thus, it came as quite a shock to Hass’s colleagues and students when he was arrested on March 25, 2016, and charged with 415 counts of accessing online child pornography from a University computer.1
