ABSTRACT

On the way to the elevators of a twenty-story building in the Stockholm city center, we1 paused at an odd sculpture in the lobby. A woman in bronze is lying flat on her back on the stone floor. She is well dressed in high-heeled shoes, blouse and a skirt ever so slightly creased in her odd position. Her head is raised and slanting, holding something in her hands. The pose is uncomfortable, foot slightly in the air, and she cannot remain still for long.
