ABSTRACT

PRINCIPLES OF FAMILY COLLABORATION Previous chapters, such as Chapter Two, have defined and illustrated steps for scheduling and conducting collaborative tasks. In particular, strategies for developing and conducting committee meetings were presented. Those steps are valid and useful, but in those chapters, the focus centered upon teams primarily involving professionals, although parents/caregivers might also be involved. In this chapter, the content is specifically on collaborative meetings involving parents/caregivers and especially for encouraging their involvement in school.
