ABSTRACT

Table 1). Remarkably, national representatives in powerful EUAs generally do not show more nationally oriented co-ordination efforts than their colleagues from less powerful EUAs. However, and in contrast to H3, they are more active in co-ordinating transnationally than MB members of non-decision-making EUAs. Nevertheless, and as mentioned above, even though transnational coordination is slightly more frequent for powerful EUAs, it is still on a very low level. What does all this mean regarding the demoi-cratic legitimacy of EUAs? This

question is discussed in the conclusion.
