ABSTRACT

As noted earlier in the text, Europol is the European law enforcement agency that coordinates the activities of member states in the prevention and combating of terrorism and organized crime. Europol reports that the continent of Europe has seen the largest increase of the U.S.-based outlaw motorcycle gangs in the five-year period of 2005–2010. Since 2002, the U.S.-based Hells Angels, Bandidos, and Outlaws have added 120 European chapters, for a total of 425 chapters in Europe (Europol, 2010, October 8). This overshadows the number of these clubs in the United States. These three gangs (HAMC, Bandidos, and Outlaws) have around 300 chapters in North America.
