ABSTRACT
As school psychology moves through the 1990s concerns have been expressed about the viability of the profession to serve the mental health needs of children and schools. The problem is not one of practitioner competencies or the quality of services but, presumably, is based on the declining numbers of practitioners available to fill existing job vacancies.
