ABSTRACT
Here I do not intend to retrace my career. My intention is to review the research of my colleagues and myself from a certain standpoint, or from within a certain integrative framework. The framework is related to inequality and equality, in which terms I have already attempted to compare the Japanese monkey and two chimpanzee species in a paper entitled “ Inequality versus equality for coexistence in primate societies” (Itani, 1984).
