ABSTRACT
The gathering place for many men on a cold winter's morning was in the general store. There were few other places for them to meet and chat. On one cold morning this old feller we'll call Uncle Sam, went into the store out of the cold. He was just about frozen, but found that the stove was blocked off by the Anglican minister and the United Church minister standing there having a chat. They noticed Uncle Sam standing off rubbing his hands and one of them said, “Well, Uncle Sam, what's the news with you this cold day?”
