ABSTRACT
By way of general definition, external works can be described as works that form part of a construction/building project that are external to the main building structure. There are three separate work sections included in NRM2 that have been drafted specifically for items that would typically be associated with external works: NRM2 35 Site Works, NRM2 36 Fencing and NRM2 37 Soft Landscaping. In addition, reference is made in these three sections to NRM2 5 Excavating & Filling and NRM2 11 In situ Concrete Works. Even though it is not specifically mentioned, there is the possibility that the measurer may need to need to defer to NRM2 work section 6 Ground Remediation and Soil Stabilisation.
