I tried to find a typical moment-of-capture to begin with. An image that would set the scene for the many variations to come, and would introduce the usual decisions and techniques in getting just that exact instant when things work in the frame. Not surprisingly, the more I looked into the details of each case, the more specific each was. I have to step back slightly to find situations that have parallels with others and which show a type of
Flame tree, Magwe Division, Myanmar moment. is, in Myanmar, is one such moment, broadly typical of many, and yet entirely its own particular set of circumstances. One of the valuable lessons I hope the many examples in this book will give is that each case is unique, and the moment you hope to extract from it is unique also.
