ABSTRACT

Many people look at a picture of a complicated hairstyle and freak out. The style may seem impossible to achieve. The wig designer students have all of the tools needed to put together any style they can dream up. Once the students start seeing the sections of the hairstyle, planning attack should become easier. Some historical hairstyles are so large that mere teasing or stuffing will still not yield you the results that you want. In these cases, it may be better to build or buy a wire frame to attach to wig. The students should test a section of hair before they begin styling. At the nape of the neck, unroll a roller – if the hair seems damp, roll it back up and stick it back in the wig dryer for another 30 minutes. Lightly teasing hair can also be a good way to fix roller breaks.
