ABSTRACT

Once geothermal steamor thermalwater is brought to the surface through a production well, a large part of geological and geophysical work are accomplished. Before the well is developed to generate power, the endurance of the reservoir or well is tested. The well, after development, is allowed to eject steam or water over a long period of time to note any changes that may occur in the flow rate, temperature or pressure (Figure 7.1). Once the well has passed this test, it goes to the power production stage.
