The Extension Plan for Eindhoven, an industrial town in North Brabant (the Southern Province of the Netherlands), near the Belgian frontier, was formulated in 1930. This town has developed by leaps and bounds as a result of the rapid growth of a great local industryPhilips’ Incandescent Lamp Works-the continual expansion of which has in turn been brought about by the amazingly rapid popularisation of radio broadcasting.
