ABSTRACT

The Almighty knows that from the very moment I had the good fortune to go into ৫ughril Beg’s service and join those serving in his sovereignty, I have not seen him fail, either by disappointing a hopeful man or by speaking harshly to drive away a religious scholar. I have not seen him condone injustice nor sanction a crime. What should one think of a king whose simplest endeavours and lowest merits are such as these?
