ABSTRACT
Ventilation is the removal of ‘stale’ indoor air from a building and its replacement with ‘fresh’ outside air (it is assumed within the Approved Document that the outside air is of reasonable quality). Part F of the Building Regulations is concerned with ensuring that building ventilation systems are provided that will, under normal circumstances, limit the accumulation of moisture which could lead to mould growth and pollutants originating within a building.
