ABSTRACT
Once all dispute board members have been chosen and the dispute board is in place, its agreement signed by all necessary parties and its operating procedures established, it is in a position to begin operations. Whether these procedures are established by contract, as in the FIDIC Contracts, or are established on an ad hoc basis, most dispute boards function the same way. This is the case whether it is a dispute review board, a dispute adjudication board, or a combined dispute board.
