ABSTRACT

Children who spent their infancy in an orphanage generally display a range of “trauma-informed behaviors,” including unrelenting attention seeking, the need for having “their own way,” registering comments and corrections as criticism, distress at discarding anything, acute sensitivity to perceived unfairness, extreme mood fluctuations, and easily provoked anger or anxiety. This is the story of adopted sisters who were both challenging for their parents, but in very different ways.
