ABSTRACT

As the landscape of health care changes dramatically in the United States, systems of care are responding to the need to make evidence-based resources available to improve family functioning for at-risk populations. Implementation research must become standard practice to improve the link between dissemination efforts, community collaboration, and healthy outcomes for families. Parent Management Training-Oregon Model (PMTO®) is an evidence-based practice (EBP) with programs ranging from prevention through treatment that have been implemented with sustained fidelity in communities in the United States and internationally. The model’s core principles and practices are designed to promote healthy development and to prevent as well as reduce behavior problems.
