ABSTRACT
This chapter examines Iranian legal practices relating to the interrogation of criminal suspects. It charts the development of these practices across Iranian legal history before discussing the procedural aspects of interrogations. These practices are extensive and require a nuanced understanding of the levels of law applicable in such circumstances. Additionally, the chapter provides insights into the training given to those investigation professionals in the Iranian criminal justice system.
