ABSTRACT
Whatever the nation of origin, representations of interrogations in television series, movies, and books often transmit an image of investigators engaging in a frank and direct interaction with a suspect. They articulate various feelings and emotions, modulate the pressure, and act in a manner appearing more intuitive than prepared. It also appears that the investigator’s goal is a clear quest for confessions; the confrontation is augmented by drama. These are obviously fictional interpretations.
