ABSTRACT

People become engaged in patterns-ways of acting and interacting with others. Some of these patterns work well, others don’t. In the midst of problems, it’s common for one person to wait for the other person to change in a way he or she prefers. This can keep people waiting for an eternity. Yet if the person desiring the change takes the initiative and does something differ ent to change the relationship, positive change may come about more quickly.
