ABSTRACT

Working with large groups provides a different challenge from working with a small group. The primary difference is that in a small group, the dynamics are more readily observable. The communication between the members and the facilitator(s) is more direct, and the opportunity for anonymity is greatly reduced. You are noticed more when you are a member in a small group. The large group, in contrast, is more diverse in its membership and consequently more of a challenge to monitor and direct.
