ABSTRACT
The experience of African students in China today may be better understood by returning to the two approaches to international relations laid out at the start of this investigation: the Maoist view and the view of Galtung and Mazrui of the World Order Models Project. Linking these two sets of views provides an evaluative framework in which to place the findings and reflect upon the transformative possibilities of Sino-African exchanges within international relations and international knowledge relations.
