ABSTRACT
Some out-of-print books are readily available through republication eorts of historically interested publishers. Others exist in major university libraries and private collections. Each entry is organized chronologically by author, title, city of publication, and publisher, when known. A few annotations are included where deemed
useful to the historical importance or to aid in the location of a book. e date for each entry was determined by the copyright date (when known), the inclusion of books in publishers’ directory catalogs (approximate date within ve years), the listing of a book with date of publication in either a publishers’ catalog or other reference book, or the advertisement for rst-time sale by the author in periodicals. Where no date is known, a work is entered at the end of each category alphabetically by author.
