ABSTRACT

Although a student dancer may twirl across the stage with technical precision , there is often something missing from the performance that marks her as not having quit e master ed the danc e. Alth ough the dancer attempts to be light, the buoyant feeling does not develop . Although she twirl s quickly, the exhilaration usually associ ated with acceleration is missing.
