ABSTRACT
This address was given by black lesbian activist Angela Bowen at Boston's Gay and Lesbian Pride March on June 15, 1985. She later wrote a doctoral dissertation on Audre Lorde's contributions to three U.S. liberation movements (one being lesbian feminism) and in 1989 received the Fannie Lou Hamer Award for her work for women of color and against racism.
