ABSTRACT

This testimony was given at a panel held at Boston City Hall on May 5, 1983, on “Police and Gay/Lesbian Community Relations.” It was part of The Boston Project, which the front matter of the original republication in Gay Community News on May 29, 1983, describes as “a comprehensive landmark study to identify and analyze the needs of gay and lesbian citizens and to develop a workable agenda to better meet those needs” (p. 5). Goldsmith was the local news reporter for GCN from 1982 to 1984.
