ABSTRACT

Teamwork has gained increasing prominence as a necessary workplace skill in recent years (Carnevale, Gainer, & Meltzer, 1990; Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce, 1990). The need for teamwork skills in perspective employees offers schools the opportunity to help their students develop and document their teamwork skills. While schools have always offered students opportunities to work in teams, they have not generally provided students with ways to assess the growth and development of their teamwork skills (Grummon, 1994). Teamwork assessment is not as straightforward as most academic assessments.
