ABSTRACT
It was not possible to identify any specific neurobehavioral correlates of recur ring nightmares in our review of the literature. Nevertheless it was evident that recurring nightmares are frequently associated with seizure disorder (Hy pothesis 16). The literature also pointed to a definite localization of the sei zure foci responsible for this disorder: Recurring nightmares indicate a dis charging lesion in the region of the right temporal lobe (Hypothesis 17).
