ABSTRACT

Parent coordination is a form of dispute resolution for high conflict that goes beyond mediation, psychotherapy, and a multitude of other family services. Parent coordination is a nonconfidential, child-centered process for parents “for whom mediation is inappropriate due to high levels of conflict or domestic abuse in the relationship” (Baris et al., 2001, p. 220). Parent coordinators (PC) are usually trained psychotherapists who are designated to work with select families.
