ABSTRACT
Summarizing at the end of each session or even sharing your actual counseling notes with hopeless clients is an excellent way to build trust. It also helps you to be sure you have the same understanding of a session as your client. By choosing what to emphasize in the ease note, the counselor is often able to gently lead the client in a beneficial direction.
