ABSTRACT
Schneider and Stoller's (1995) Women Resisting AIDS: Feminist Strategies of Empowerment is the first text to highlight programs designed to empower women in the AIDS pandemic. The international focus and specificity of programs for target populations-for example, prevention efforts for minority women-is a promising development. The book describes the programs and offers valuable information for program development. However, a discussion of clinical issues is not included.
