ABSTRACT
As the demographics of AIDS shift in the United States to reflect increasing numbers of individuals and families of color, dealing with racism in AIDS service organizations (ASOs) is crucial in terms of not barring clients from access due to overt and covert racism. In addition, many ASOs that began as gay white male organizations serving largely gay white males now also serve people of color (some of which are gay; some of which are not).
