ABSTRACT
This book attempts to explore the changes happening to work, the workplace and workers over the last few decades. As discussed in the last chapter, Sennett suggests that work in today’s dominant form of capitalism has largely negative consequences for workers. For Sennett, the work culture of new capitalism prevents people from developing a life narrative.
