ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter we looked at some of the background context factors contributing to the changing world of work. In this chapter we examine evidence for these factors in the workplace. We will look for indications of what Sennett describes as ‘the culture of the new capitalism’ and its reported impact on UK white-collar workers.
