ABSTRACT

On entering the 20th century, it is clear that the landscape of psychology is undergoing dramatic changes. In fact, the very scope of what psychology is in the West is being redefined. From the study of a transcendent and immaterial psyche, psychological studies are beginning to focus on observable behavior. Although this may seem somewhat limiting, there are good reasons for this transition. Let's explore some of these reasons.
