ABSTRACT

Max L. Hutt is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Michigan. He obtained his undergraduate training at C.C.N.Y. and his doctoral training at Columbia University. He is a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology. For a number of years he was head of the Educational Clinic at C.C.N.Y. and later was Director of the Child Consultation Service. During World War II he served in a variety of capacities and, for a time, was Chief of the Clinical Psychology Branch, Surgeon General’s Office. He has taught at C.C.N.Y., Columbia University and the University of Michigan. His work has been in the field of clinical psychology with major interests in projective theory and technique, and in therapy and therapeutic research. He had been President of the Psychologists’ League, a member of the council of the American Psychological Association, and is currently Chairman of the committee on psychotherapy of the Clinical Division of the A.P.A.
