ABSTRACT
Basically this study had a twofold purpose. First, it attempted to give an outline of prehistory in northeastern Arabia, an area for which none has been hitherto available. Second, it examined the developmental sequence of this prehistory within the theoretical context of interregional mechanisms of interaction with the adjacent nuclear zone of southern Mesopotamia.
