ABSTRACT
Behaviourism is the theory that the mind may be adequately studied in the reactions of the body. It does not profess to be a metaphysic or a theory of knowledge ; it commonly professes to eschew philosophical theories of every kind, and to offer only a method of psychological study. If therefore we are to criticize it from a philosophical point of view, as we propose to do, some justification seems called for.
