ABSTRACT

‘I don’t eat breakfast, I get up too late. Mum’s so fed up she leaves me to it. She has gone off to work by the time I get up. She only gives me enough money for the bus so if I don’t pick up my packed lunch, which I usually leave because I don’t like what’s in it, I don’t eat anything all day. The teachers at school think I cadge money for cigarettes but I don’t, even though I do smoke. I get ten pence off as many as I can so that I can buy a chip butty at lunch.
